Our Causes

Amplify Change's vision is to contribute to securing universal recognition of sexual and reproductive health and rights as human rights, enabling women, men and young people to realize their full potential in safe and supportive environments. They strengthen the social movement for change by providing support to civil society and community-based organizations working in countries where the needs are greatest, in particular Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Amplify Change provides grants to directly fund local civil society organizations (CSOs) that advocate for and promote better policy and action on neglected sexual and reproductive health and rights issues.

International Social Service-USA mobilizes a domestic and international network of legal and social work professionals to efficiently connect vulnerable children, adults and families who are separated by international borders to the services and support they need. In the spirit of international cooperation, they:
  • Assist those who, as a result of voluntary or forced migration, or other social problems of an international character, have to overcome personal or family difficulties.
  • Study the conditions and consequences of migration and make recommendations.
  • Help prevent social problems linked to migration or intercountry mobility.
  • Inform professionals and the public of the needs of migrant individuals and families.
  • Develop and maintain an international network of bodies to meet the needs of individuals and families who require the services of International Social Service.

OneSky for all children (formerly Half the Sky Foundation) provides love and nurture for disadvantaged children whether living in China’s social welfare institutions or in day care centers while their parents work long hours. Since it’s inception 18 years ago, the organization has grown from a handful of supporters to include 30,000 supporters world-wide, as well as a growing number of caring corporate citizens and private foundations. Over 138,000 children have benefited from HTS’ programs. OneSky is working in full partnership with the Chinese government’s Ministry of Civil Affairs to bring its critical early childhood development programs to every child living in China’s orphanages. In 2016 OneSky signed a long-term partnership with the Vietnamese government to bring its programs to that country.

Malnutrition can be catastrophic for any child. It is especially tragic for children without families caring for them, and for kids with disabilities who are often isolated from their communities. They are suffering in silence, rarely served by international and local efforts.

Under-nourished children are at higher risk for being placed and/or remaining in institutional care. Bolstering the capacity of families and communities to care for these children is a vital component to breaking the cycle that perpetuates institutionalization and its devastating impacts. SPOON creates and spreads readily accessible tools that bring critical nutrition and feeding practices to children who often go unseen.
